«Independence has been lost in favor of Russia, laws are not in force, 1,400 political prisoners are in jail, approximately 300,000 have been deported from Belarus, and the population has decreased by 1 million people since the beginning of the independent republic», said the deputy head of the UTC.
According to him, «Lukashenko did not create Belarus» - «the country belongs to Belarusians, to every person who has a heartache for today's Belarus, to everyone who believes in a democratic and European country, who continues to act despite all the repressions».
He noted that after several centuries of struggle, Belarusians gained their independent country. On September 19, 1991, the official name «Republic of Belarus» was adopted, and the Pogonya coat of arms and the white, red and white flag became the state symbols.
Despite all the challenges of today, the politician urged Belarusians to never lose faith in themselves, in their strength, in the truth, and in Belarus.
