From June 19 to 21, the exhibition "National Security. "Belarus — 2024" was held in Minsk. As it turned out, at least two of its participants from the Belarusian side directly supplied military equipment to the Russian troops, which participated in armed aggression against Ukraine. This is a scientific and technical center " LEMT" and design bureau "Radar".
The LEMT enterprise was founded in 1992 and is part of the BelOMA holding.
In September 2023, it was reported that the scientific and technical center "LEMT" handed over thermal imagers and monoculars to the occupiers in the combat zone. Moreover, the question of where to take them was "solved in a few days." The delivery was handled by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Novosibirsk Region, which sent the goods in accordance with the requests of the soldiers of the 41st Combined Arms of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which at that time was destroying the Ukrainian city of Avdeivka.
As a result, recently, on June 24, 2024, the holding "BelOMA" and its general director Alexander Moroz were included in the sanctions list of the European Union for supporting activities that threaten the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
The managing company of the Radar Systems holding is the joint-stock company "Radar Design Bureau", all of whose shares belong to the state. KB "Radar" has been under US sanctions (and not only) since 2022.
One of the products of KB "Radar" is the radio jamming station "Navalnitsa-6", which was fixed at least twice on the weapons of the Russian occupiers. In September 2023, members of the Crimean Atesh resistance movement discovered the Euroradio station "Navalnytsia-6" (Р-934УМ2) on the territory of the occupied Crimea. And on June 8, 2024, the "South" division of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the destruction, including the "Navalnytsia" EW station.
The mentioned exhibition, at least formally, had the concept of strengthening the national security of the country. But helping an armed aggressor is, on the contrary, a clear threat to the security of Belarus.
