Kovalevsky: Euro-Atlantic integration for Belarus requires joint efforts of democratic forces

The ambitious task of Euro-Atlantic integration for Belarus requires democratic forces to work together. This was stated by Valery Kovalevsky, Director of the Agency for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation, during the New Belarus conference.

Kovalevsky emphasized that the relations that lukashenko has built with russia are very dangerous for society and the state. He emphasized that the European choice for Belarus is the key to preserving its independence and strengthening its national identity.

"We need to work with our international partners and engage in a dialogue with Belarusians so that they know more about Europe and the EU, about the opportunities that Belarus would get in this community," Kovalevsky said. He also added that political dialog with NATO is an important factor for stability and peace in Europe.
