The Chief of the General Staff - First Deputy Minister of Defense of Belarus Pavel Muravejka declared the readiness of the Armed Forces to use special nuclear weapons. This is stated in his comment on the beginning of the implementation of training and combat tasks within the framework of the second stage of exercises with non-strategic nuclear forces. Considering everything, Lukashenka decided to play along with Putin's passage about the need to change the nuclear doctrine of the Russian Federation and to remind that part of the Russian "nuclear club" was transferred to the territory of Belarus
On May 7, Belarus began a surprise inspection of carriers of non-strategic nuclear weapons using Su-25 attack aircraft, operational-tactical complexes "Iskander" and "Polanese". On May 21, Russia began the first stage of exercises with practical training of issues of preparation and use of non-strategic nuclear weapons. After the meeting between Lukashenka and Putin, it was announced that Belarus would join them in the second stage of the Russian exercises. Thus, Muraveiko's statement is timed to the second stage of the exercises, some details of which were revealed today by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"All organizational and technical points are worked out in clear interaction with our Russian colleagues and together with them. Operational-tactical complexes "Iskander" advanced to the designated positional areas, received special ammunition, docked them with combat units and took their initial positions, taking combat duty at the designated targets. A similar event was held by our aviation," the press service of the Ministry of Defense quoted the Chief of the General Staff as saying.
According to him, "commanders of aviation units did not know until the last moment who would get the right to perform combat training tasks and from which airfield the aircraft would operate", "the signal came literally 30 minutes before the start of the tasks" and the aviators performed the event.
"All the control standards that had to be worked out were completed before the appointed deadline, and were carried out clearly, without fuss. I am satisfied with the work of our calculations, pilots, engineering and technical staff. This preparation and practice of important issues of the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons is one of the ways to increase our combat readiness and our capacity. We will summarize the results, but already now I can say with confidence: the units and units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are ready to use special nuclear weapons," Muraveyka assured.
Where can Lukashenko's game with Putin's nuclear toys lead and does he understand it?
