Lukashenko's TASS reported that on August 9, Belarusian air defense forces shot down 13 drones flying from Ukraine over the Mogilev region. The information is distributed with reference to the deputy head of the department of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus.
On August 10, the ANT TV channel even showed a video of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus with, as it is claimed, the remains of downed Ukrainian drones.
But according to the monitoring group "Belarusian Forest", on August 9, 2024, no drones were detected during the flights of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. Missile launches from Su-30 fighters and Mi-24 helicopters were also not recorded.
Thus, "Belarusian Gayun" concludes that Lukashenka's information about the downed Ukrainian drone over Belarus "is ordinary nonsense."
We remind you that it was because of these fictional downed drones that Lukashenka ordered to strengthen the Belarusian army on the border with Ukraine.
