Ukrainian intelligence is closely monitoring the situation surrounding the joint "anti-terrorist" exercises of China and Belarus on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, but declares that there are no additional threats or provocations at the moment.
Captain Andrey Yusau, representative of the State Scientific and Educational Committee of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, told about this in an interview with "Ukrainska Pravda".
"According to the latest information, there are currently no additional threats from Belarus. In particular, we are talking about really planned exercises. However, Russian disinformation can traditionally try to use any pretext to strengthen its positions," the military said.
"The security and defense forces of Ukraine are certainly closely monitoring the situation in this area and are monitoring it," Andrey also noted.
As we thought, the joint exercises with the People's Republic of China are only demonstrative, and not some kind of real practice of situations. However, the Belarusian-Ukrainian border is carefully mined and guarded by the Ukrainian military.
We remind you that Lukashenka's State Border Service has repeatedly spoken about "provocations" and "concentration of forces" on the Ukrainian border. Today, the dictator's press service reported on his personal visit to the border with Ukraine.
